Balcony safety nets that disappear from inside your living room

A correctly installed balcony net stops falls, keeps toys and phones from dropping to the street, and is barely visible once you're looking out from indoors. It's the single most requested installation we do.

Balcony Safety Nets installation

Open balconies above the second floor are one of the most common household fall risks in Indian apartments, especially where children or elderly family members spend time. Standard grillwork stops large objects but does very little against a curious toddler or a startled pet leaning through the gap.

Our balcony nets use knotted HDPE mesh in a 2-inch grid, strong enough to hold a person's full weight in an emergency lean, yet fine and dark enough that it fades out of view once you step back from the railing. Anchoring goes into the structural slab or wall above and below the balcony opening, using stainless steel L-hooks rather than relying on the existing grill.

Most 1-2 balcony flats are measured, quoted, and fully installed within a single visit, usually 2-4 hours depending on width and height. Larger wraparound balconies or duplex terraces are scheduled over the same or following day.

Because rainwater, dust and UV exposure are constant in Indian weather, we specifically use UV-stabilised netting rated to resist brittling for 5+ years rather than the untreated nylon mesh some cheaper installers use, which discolours and weakens within a single monsoon season.

Frequently asked questions

Will the net block my view or airflow?+

The 2-inch mesh is designed to be visually unobtrusive from a normal seating distance indoors, and it does not meaningfully restrict airflow through the balcony opening.

Can it hold the weight of a person leaning on it?+

Yes, when anchored into structural concrete as we do, the net is rated to bear the load of a person leaning or falling against it, which is why anchor quality matters more than the net itself.

What if I'm renting and can't drill into walls?+

We offer a lighter clamp-based fitting for rental properties that avoids permanent drilling, with a slightly lower load rating suitable for child and pet safety rather than heavy structural leaning.

How do I clean or maintain the net?+

A simple rinse with water twice a year removes dust; no chemical cleaning is needed, and our warranty includes one free re-tensioning visit.
